Authenticity & Guarantee
Natural Type A jadeite. No treatments. No dyes.
Most jade on the market has been bleached, dyed, or filled with polymer to look better in a photo. Ours hasn't. This page explains exactly what that means, how we verify it, and what we stand behind.
What Type A actually means
"Jade" alone tells you almost nothing.
Jadeite is graded by how it has been treated — not by how it looks. Two stones can be photographed side by side and appear identical, while one is natural and the other has been chemically altered. That is the entire reason this page exists.
Type A
Natural
Untreated jadeite. No bleaching, no polymer filling, no dye. Only cutting and polishing. This is what we sell, exclusively.
Type B
Bleached & filled
Acid is used to bleach out brown patches, then the stone is soaked in clear resin to look cleaner. That resin soak is called polymer impregnation. Very common, and often sold without telling the buyer.
Type C
Dyed
Color is added with dye. The stone was never that green, the dye is what you are seeing. Under strong light it can look bright, but the color is not real and it can fade.
Type B + C
Bleached, filled & dyed
Both treatments on one stone. First it is bleached and filled with polymer, then dye is added on top. False clarity and false color, the lowest grade of treated jadeite.
Type A is the only grade of jadeite we will ever put our name on.
How we verify it
We choose the stone before it is finished — not after.
-
Selected in the rough
We acquire jadeite as raw stone, direct at the source, before it has been shaped or polished. Nothing is bought finished and relabeled.
-
Inspected on our side
Each jadeite stone is reviewed for color, translucency, texture, and grain while it is still unshaped — the point at which treatments and substitutions are hardest to hide.
-
Cut and finished to our standard
The stone goes through our own cutting and manufacturing process. No treatments are applied, and none are needed.

Documented and shipped
Every piece ships with its certification. Because testing is part of how we make a piece — not a service we buy in afterward — the certificate is included, never sold as an add-on. Each piece is tested by an independent gemological laboratory accredited under CNAS, carrying international recognition through the ILAC-MRA mutual recognition arrangement. Small accessory beads and minor findings may ship without separate certification; everything else does.
What you are buying
Natural, untreated, and cut by hand.
Our jadeite comes from multiple origins — Guatemala, Myanmar, and other sources we work with directly — because the character of the stone changes with where it forms. We don't tie the collection to a single origin, and we don't describe a piece as anything other than what it is.
Every piece is natural Type A jadeite. No treatments. No dyes. Cut and set for pieces made to be worn for a lifetime rather than kept in a drawer.
Our guarantee
What happens if you ever doubt it.
If a piece is ever found not to be natural Type A jadeite, you get a full refund.
Have it tested by the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) — the recognized authority for jadeite treatment testing. If the GIA report states that the jadeite is treated, dyed, or impregnated, send us a copy of the report and we refund your purchase in full.
A GIA report is the only testing that qualifies for this guarantee. Other certificates, opinions, or appraisals are not accepted for a refund claim.
You deal with us directly, not a warranty department.
Testing is performed by an independent CNAS-accredited gemological laboratory, not a store-issued document.
Caring for jadeite
It is tougher than it looks — but not indestructible.
Jadeite is dense and remarkably tough, which is why it survives generations. Keep it away from hard impacts and harsh chemicals, store it separately from metal that can scratch it, and wipe it with a soft cloth. Warm water and mild soap are fine; ultrasonic cleaners and steam are not. A stone that is handled gently keeps its polish for a very long time.
